Over the past thirty years, our organization has been the driving force that brought tire sealants out of the Dark Ages where they were known as snake oil concoctions.
Independent testing, in-field use and the test of time has proven that Ultraseal Tire Life Extender/sealer is an extremely efficient method to reduce tire cost per mile in any fleet.
Our organization is responsible for establishing the first reputable tire sealant and is recognized throughout the world.
Since the invention of the pneumatic tire there have been many attempts to produce a tire sealant. Unfortunately for fleet managers, most do not perform as claimed. The 1993 Generic Tire Sealant Specifications (established by the United States Postal Service) has been adopted by major fleets and government agencies throughout the United States. These fleets now require that prior to purchasing a tire sealant, the company must provide documented proof of being tested and meeting the specifications. This has caused many of these so-called tire sealants to fall by the wayside due to the inability to substantiate any of their safety and performance claims.
When we began our work to develop a tire sealant, there were none on the market that functioned at speeds of over 35 mph. After a short time these sealants would dry and ball up in the tire.
Our research proved that these sealants caused rust and could not withstand exposure to heat or cold, plus certain chemicals used in the manufacturing of the sealants were a health hazard and not compatible with the rim or components of the tire.
During our extensive research and development phase, we realized we had developed a proprietary process which allowed our product to function totally different than any other tire sealant concept that had ever been on the market.
Not only had we developed a high quality tire sealant, we had incorporated a process which allowed the product to perform for the life of the tire while exposed to a wide range of temperatures, and at any speed.
After being tested in professional off road racing vehicles by legends such as Mickey Thompson and Parnelli Jones, the product was introduced to the public in 1969.
Over the years, our Ultraseal product has been reversed engineered by several organizations in the U.S. and other countries. These organizations were able to identify the ingredients of our formulation, however, they were unable to reproduce the proprietary process which has made Ultraseal number one in the tire sealant industry worldwide.
As new tire technology is developed, Ultraseal undergoes extensive testing to assure compatibility with any new tire component.
Today, as chief of the Ultraseal R&D Team, it is our goal to increase Ultraseal's ability to extend tire life, thereby assuring our leadership in the tire sealant industry far beyond the millennium.
